SWTSC RUBY ANNIVERSARY 1974 - 2014

Welcome to our 40th Anniversary Celebrations

This year, 2014 marks 40 years since the club was founded. Among those founder members still with us are MC Hourihane, now the Club's President, Sylviia, Lady Dalrymple Hay, currently Vice Chair, Jane Lilley, Ann Keen, Anne Hamer (Chair 1989 - 1989) and Sylvia Jones who did a mammoth stint as Treasurer from 1979 - 2010. Please go to the 'About The Club' page for full details.

To commemorate this landmark, the club has organised some very special events for you all.

Firstly the Championship Show in March with all the bells and whistles, and followed on in August with another great event in the form of the Open Show at our lovely venue in Steventon. Get all the details for the Open Show at shows and events

A new competition has been launched for all Junior Dogs and Bitches in memory of our late President Deidre Jenkins, known to you all as one half of the famous 'Amcross' partnership.

THE CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW HELD ON MARCH 2ND 2014

A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all at this our 40th Anniversary Championship Show. Exhibitors were welcomed with a free prize ticket attached to their catalogues, plus an anniversary card and a Tibbie bookmark.

Free tea and coffee was offered all day, and the committee supplied their usual fine fare with bacon butties the order of the morning, ably organised and cooked by Adele (that's Tania Hayman's mum!)

As well as the free prize, there was china giftware, Tibbie adorned, for sale, a Whisky draw, raffle, and the all the prizewinners were inundated with prizes, and special rosettes coutesy of Sheila Thomson, who also did some lovely rosettes for the committee to wear!

At lunchtime, the Anniversary cake (made & donated by Janet Didymus) was ceremoniously cut by our special guests

Anne Hamer, Sylvia Jones and MC Hourihane, before being divided and served to all.
